This laboratory has been established in cooperation with FESTO
corporation. It is primarily used for undergraduate students' laboratory exercises during the courses
Elements of Process Automation and
Students are introduced to different types of electrical and pneumatic sensors which they use for measuring movement, distance, linear and rotational speed, force and pressure.
Besides, working in the laboratory, students can learn characteristics of (electro)pneumatic and (electro)hydraulic actuators. On the excercises students learn to control
those actuators by the usage of different valves. Inside the laboratory there is a facility for the course
Flexible Manufacturing Systems
designed by FESTO for educational purposes. The facility consists of distribution station, testing station, processing station and assembly station,
while a Mitsubishi Movemaster robotic arm is used as the main resource. Seminars for people from industry are also held in the laboratory.
