Deterministic power flow optimization in an experimental microgrid

ABSTRACT:

We consider a problem of microgrid operation and adherence to various constraints in operation, e.g. technical constraints of the microgrid components or constraints arising from requests for islanded operation at certain time instants. The paper shows how mathematical programming can be used on the level of power flows optimization in a microgrid in order to maximize the economic gains. The considered microgrid is currently under construction at the Laboratory for Renewable Energy Sources on University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing.
